Presbyopia:

With age (40+), we all will eventually lose our pre-existing minimum focusing distance. The focusing mechanisms of our eyes get stuck at far away. NON-technically called, "My arms are getting shorter."

CAUSE: One's crystalline lens loses flexibility and the ciliary muscles weaken.

SOLUTION: Presbyopes with 20/20 vision need reading glasses; presbyopic-myopes (nearsighted) and presbyopic-hyperopes (farsighted) need bifocals. Contact lens users have options to achieve both near and far focusing ability:

Monovision (different single-powered contacts on each eye)
Bifocal contact lenses (disposables for maximum convenience)
    Modified monovision:
Bifocal contact on non-dominant, close-object eye AND single-powered contact on dominant, distant-object eye.
